Research and entrepreneurship can seem separate, but go hand in hand in Australia’s decarbonisation efforts. EnergyLab is supporting researchers to commercialise their clean energy and climate tech research, and build businesses that drive real world impact.

Among EnergyLab’s 150+ alumni are a number of founders who have built their startups on research foundations. We’re excited to hear from Shalini Divya and Erich Kisi, who have both completed EnergyLab programs to support the growth of their research-based startups.

Shalini & Erich will share their journeys from research to entrepreneurship, followed by time for questions from the audience. In the last 15 minutes of the session we’ll introduce EnergyLab’s upcoming program and how you can get involved: Climate Tech Ignite for Researchers.

Meet our Speakers:

Shalini Divya, Co-founder & CEO of TasmanIon

Erich Kisi, Co-founder & CEO of MGA Thermal

Are you a researcher who’s interested in commercialising your work?

Climate Tech Ignite for Researchers is an 8-week journey connecting individuals with the resources and mentorship to understand how their research might be commercialised through entrepreneurship - that is becoming a founder, and launching a startup. As Australia's largest climate tech startup accelerator and innovation ecosystem dedicated to reaching net zero emissions, EnergyLab offers a uniquely focused program, with access to our mentor and alumni networks in the decarbonisation sector.

Application are open until 21 April, ready for a May kick off.
